This summer I am back and forth between my family’s home and my college town. Although my college town is quiet and relaxing, living here without my sorority being open just isn’t the same. This past school year, when I would arrive back at school after days at home, I would often stop at the Alpha Gamma Delta House even before I would unpack at my dorm room. Walking into the house and hearing hellos and seeing smiling faces would automatically make me feel at home.
My first year of college has flown by, and as of right now I cannot imagine graduating college. The best experience in my college life has by far been joining a sorority. Back in August I accepted my big from Alpha Gamma Delta, and I absolutely love it. Socials, events, and activities took place but my favorite memories are the times just hanging with my sisters laughing and having fun. I have met many girls that have completely different backgrounds and interests, yet they have became some of my closest friends. First, I became part of Alpha Gamma Delta; now Alpha Gamma Delta is a part of me. I am looking forward to the rest of the three years as an Alpha Gam at Iowa State University and the rest of my life part of a great sisterhood.
